Greener Voyage Program

At Yas Plaza Hotels, our dedication to sustainability extends beyond mere service – it’s our ethos. We’re thrilled to unveil the Greener Voyage Program, a pioneering initiative that rewards eco-conscious travel. Guests who embrace sustainable transportation methods are entitled to a 12% discount on their stay. This program not only benefits our guests but also nurtures the environment and supports our local community, embodying our holistic approach to responsible hospitality.

Who is eligible?

Guests who choose to arrive with sustainable modes of transport and commit to sustainable practices throughout the guest stay are rewarded with a 12% discount on the room rate when booking direct on a public rate for a minimum of 2 nights stay

Terms and Conditions

Greener Voyage Program Criteria

  • The guest must book directly via the hotel-branded website or by contacting the hotel reservations team directly via telephone or email and stay for a minimum of 2 consecutive nights

  • The room reservation must be made on a publicly available room rate or promotion to be eligible for the discount. The Greener Voyage Program discount cannot be combined with negotiated or affiliated rates and promotions

  • The following hotels are participating in the Greener Voyage Program: Crowne Plaza Yas Island; Staybridge Suites Yas Island; Radisson Hotel Yas Island; Park Inn Yas Island; Rotana Hotel Yas Island; Centro Hotel Yas Island

  • The guest must commit to sustainable travel methods from the time they leave their departure point, (either home or office) until they arrive at the participating hotel

  • The guest must choose sustainable travel methods for all legs of the travel​

  • Acceptable modes of transport to participate in the program;
    A) From the departure point to the next mode of transport
    •  Hybrid or electrical car or taxi
    •  Public transport
    B) Airplane
    •  Plane with only one aisle (also defined as “narrow-body” by some airlines)
    •  Flight operating with sustainable air fuel (SAF)
    •  By offsetting the carbon emission of the flight
    C) From the departure point or another mode of transport (i.e. Airplane) to the participating hotel
    •  Hybrid or electrical car or taxi
    •  Public transport
    •  Electric scooter or bicycle

  • The guest agrees to upload supporting documents through the program portal prior to checking in at the hotel. The supporting documents are as follows:
    •  Public Transport – a ticket with the date of travel
    •  Hybrid or electrical car – car registration with guest name clearly showing that the car is a hybrid or electrical vehicle
    •  Hybrid or electrical taxi – taxi receipt with the date of travel clearly showing that the taxi is a hybrid or electrical vehicle
    •  Airplane – flight ticket clearly showing the flight number and date of travel
    Classification : Internal Confidential
    •  Carbon emissions offsetting – receipt of carbon emission offsetting, clearly showing the route or flight number offset
    •  Bicycle or electrical scooter - picture of the bicycle or electrical scooter at the entrance of the hotel

  • The document requirements are;
    •  documents must be legible
    •  the dates of the documents must match the hotel check-in date or the day prior in case of overnight travel, and the guest name must match the name of the hotel reservation

  • During the stay, the guest must commit to changing bed sheets and towels a maximum of every third day for all the rooms booked. The discount will not be granted should the guest request more frequent changes for any of the rooms booked

  • The discount applies to the hotel room rate and pre-booked meal periods only, excluding all applicable taxes

  • No discount will be provided if any documentation is missing from the portal at check-in

  • The discount cannot be applied in retrospect after the check-in procedure is completed

  • The discount cannot be exchanged for cash or other services

  • A certificate must be generated through the program portal, detailing the carbon emission saved for the journey to the hotel. Without the certificate, the discount will not be applied.

  • Aldar Hospitality, its entities, and its partners in the Greener Voyage Program cannot be held liable for any amendments to alterations of, or cancellation of the program in the future
